Hello everyone!

Sorry if this question has been already asked, but I couldn't find it if it had.

When you enter the College of Winterhold for the first time, Faralda fires off a few spells to light the beacon things on the bridge...

Does anyone know what that spell is?

Is it just a trigger kind of thing? As in, does the game just have a filler spell that has no true effect, and that spell is just set to be shot off at the same time as the beacon activates?

There is a similar spell you can buy/ use in the game although not likely to have the exact same effect Feralda's spell has on those blue wells at the college. That spell being Magelight

If I remember correctly, that whole first encounter with Faralda is a scripted sequence to give the player some background info on the college. The spell is almost surely a dummy spell with no real effect and just sets off the burners. The visual effect used for that spell may be the same effect used in other player spells, but it's been a long time since I've seen it and can't say it is or it isn't.

Magelight? Ok. I must not have been paying attention when she cast it, I would think I would have noticed the ball of light.
