Console Command to delete Supply LinesProvisioners

Post » Sun Mar 27, 2016 9:34 pm

I am having a recurring problem with two bugged Supply Lines.

I removed most of them, but there are two that bugged out and cannot be closed down.

The Provisioner assigned to these routes does not appear, preventing me from removing them from the task and closing the line down

Sadly, I didn't know you had to record their NPC ids before assigning them to work, so I can't use moveto player to bring them out of whatever hole they are trapped in.

Does anyone know of a console command that can remove a designated supply line without needing to interact with the Provisioner assigned to it?

There isn't one. All you need to do is assign a new settler/automatron to the exact same supply line and it will replace the missing one.

Tried it.

Didn't work.

Well, it didn't work by removing the line.

The one I tested followed the path more or less correctly.

But would the Bot assigned to the task function as normal even though the missing NPC is already taking on that duty?

I should have added that you need to assign a settler thats freshly spawned that hasn't been assigned a settlement.

Here's a quick set of instructions that always works.

1. Travel to the settlement your original provisioner was based at.

2. open the console and enter "player.placeatme 20593 1"

3. Close console and open workshop mode.

4. Assign new settler as supply line to the settlement that the old one was supposed to link up.

5. Assign the new provisioner to the current base settlement.

There ya go, that will effectively transfer the supply line to the new settler. If you are planning on using a new Automatron, just immediately reassign the new provisioner to farming or scrapping and it will leave you with a cleared supply line that you can then assign a bot to.

Does it matter which Settlement they originate from?

For example, I can't remember if the initial Settler departed from Taffington Boathouse or Covenant.

I hope this whole process doesn't fail because I allocate the new Provisioner from Taffington and the old one was selected at Covenant.

I think it matters, because the settler counts as part of the population of the source settlement, but not at the destination settlement.

Thanks everyone for the advice.

I reversed what I did and allocated the new Provisioner from the Covenant population base.

This erased the old supply line.

Oddly, I found the old one, because his Brahmin was running around madly outside the walls and eventually lead me to him.

But I think the bug had an odd effect on him, as in, he wasn't counted as the Provisioner anymore, even though he still had his pack animal.

Now I'll try the process on the one remaining pathway to be deleted.

Given that there are only two settlements linked, if one doesn't work, the other has to.

the old ones won't be renamed back to "settler" though, or will they?

No, they stayed named Provisioner, once they acquire that name, they keep it forever.

The process completely failed with the sole remaining line.

I tried all the possible permutations until the last one failed.

The most recent Provisioner assigned to the task refused to be assigned to Crop farming.

I gave up trying after that.
