So, I've been playing since launch, and I rather like the settlements and crafting (though there is a fair amount of room for improvement imho, which hopefully will be in next months dlc). However, there are a couple of things I've been wondering about for a while.

1) When I am scrapping things, particularly when scrapping things that are in a pile etc, am I losing materials? For example, if I have a pile of more than one pallet, and I scrap the top one, it says I have x amount of wood, but if I scrap the bottom one, both will disappear but it will show me getting the same amount of wood. Am I actually losing mats by not starting at the top of a pile? Or do I not need to actually reload my last save if I accidentally do that?

2) I've never set up supply lines before, and it's not clearly stated anywhere so I don't know, but do I need to set up supply lines at one settlement only or at every settlement? For example, I plan to use the airport as my robot building area seeing as it's not suitable for living, and I am wondering if I just need to set up a supply line between the workbench and every other workbench, or do I need to go between each individual workbench and set up supply lines to every other workbench? Also, is there a way to track what supply lines I am missing in either case?

1. I'm not actually sure. An easy way to test it would be to scrap something like a pallet with a pallet on top of it, and check how much wood you have - there's a display bug where resources might not show up in your workbench inventory despite it being there, so maybe check by trying to build something made of wood.

2. Supply lines create a network, and anything on that network gets access to anything else on that network. So if you have supply lines between Starlight Drive-In, Sunshine Tidings, and Sanctuary, all three of those settlements will have access to those resources no matter how you set up the supply lines - just as long as they're part of the same network. You can view supply lines in your Pipboy Map with a button toggle, should be shown on the bottom of the screen. Note: Supply lines will connect Aid and Junk items, but only in crafting menus. So you won't be able to access a container in Sanctuary to pick up wood from Starlight, but you'll be able to use that wood in crafting or construction. Same goes for cooking food, or modding weapons.
