I noticed last night while playing that you can hack a robot by aiming a gun at them. This even works through the scope of a sniper rifle so you can hack robots at a long distance. It makes fighting robots a breeze.

Yeah it's a fun little glitch.

That perk, for me, after getting Automatron, went from 100% worthless to 100% AWESOME.

I unfortunately only raised 2 levels in the main story of Automatron since I was already level 78. I hadn't taken the robotics perk and was one INT point away from it. So basically I didn't get to robotics expert until after I finished the last battle and hit level 80. I then spent a few hours running around killing things to get to level 81 just so I could take robotics expert 2 and build all the robots.

I keep coming across groups of Rust Devils with a Sentry Bot, and it's fun to aim at them, trigger their self-destruct, then wait as they take out most of the group.
