Cant start the Game

Post » Tue Jul 06, 2010 8:43 am

Today got FO NV released in Germany and I preordered it with steam. So I preload it and today was the day when I woke up early, before I got to go to the university but steam tells me "steam error, game in unavailable, please try again later".
Well the game files are decrypted. So whats the fu**ing problem ? I want to play it and ofc its not that nice that I cant get my money back becouse its account bounded.

I think I know why it isn't starting:

English is not supported (yet) in Germany.

As I really prefer the English version to the german one (as do you, as your DXdiag shows), I downloaded NV with "english" as language and I get the same message ("the game is currently not available").

I think so because of this thread

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1125754-changing-the-language-doesnt-work/

and I am currently trying if a switch to german gets the game to run.

This would be really annoying, as the multilanguage-feature of steam was the only reason I bought new vegas...Fallout 3 was translated quite badly, a lot of the puns went awol during the translation.

But now I can play it.

This Texan thinks Bethesda deserves a solid BOOT TO THE HEAD for this sort of thing.

Got to find that song. Boot to the head.
