Game crashes to desktop whenever I scrap anything in Sanctuary. Tried new characters/other settlements on the same character, works fine. Just this one character in this one place.

I've been able to build there before, but when I go to scrap anything, whether I put it there (before this started happening) or not, it crashes immediately. I've disabled all mods, reset ini. Would love some help. Thanks so much.

What exactly do you need to do to make it crash?

DO you have previous saves to use? NEver rely on quick and autosave alone.

I've uploaded my save, but I can't link to it here- I assume it's because I'm new to the forum.

To make it crash I need to go up to something that I've previously placed there or just placed there, a bed, a guard post, anything, go to scrap it and click yes. Scrapping things that were already in vanilla Sanctuary are fine.

I tried an old save at random (10h in while I'm now at 4d) and everything seems to be fine. Might just be a case of going back and trying to find a salvageable save before this bug hit Thanks for the reply!

Done. Tried resetting Sanctuary with Cell Ripper, things can be scrapped but the minute I pick something up, put it down and try to scrap it then, I get CTD. Same with putting new things down and trying to scrap them.

Currently re-installing the game onto a new, bigger drive. Will keep updating for anyone with similar problems.

Yep your save crashes for me as well. You may have to go back a few saves. Remember to keep making new manual saves along the way.

When you disable allmods you also need to revert the ini file changes. Either this sResourceDataDirsFinal or the invlidateolderfiles line.
