3 days ago, I started a new game in Fallout 4. This is just after I purchased the Automatron DLC. Everything went fine in Vault 111, until I got to the lift at the end. After I said I wanted to continue my game...no changes in SPECIAL or character face, I expected the lift to take me up to the surface. Nothing happened. I am only playing with the main game, absolutely no mods. The same thing has happened as I try starting over and over. I am confused and irritated to say the least. I am looking for any ideas you guys have! Thanks ahead of time...

Have you tried to Verify Integrity of game cache in Steam?

In Steam select your Library, right click Fallout 4, select Properties, then the Local Files pane.
