So if there are factions of Skyrim fighting each other does that mean you can join one of them or walk your own path like FONV?

I guess you can consider those 2 factions as "guilds" and you can do side quests for them like: the fighters guild, ... But normaly they will be part of the main quest storyline so i think you will have to do quests for both, something like The Blades.

idk im just thinking it would be awesome to join one and then fight the other in a large scale battle!
