Automatron DLC Is AMAZING! What Do You Think?

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2016 2:52 pm

Holy crap! I turned codsworth into a sentry bot complete with cluster bomb launchers and miniguns then we stormed the entrance of vault 95, the carnage was . . . beautiful. I love this dlc. Sure the story was short n sweet but it was worth the money IMO.

Well for those moaning about the price I have a suggestion - go and play a game called Battle Pirates by a "developer" called Kixeye.

There you will get a new ship hull skin for $10 that does NOTHING but make the ship look different to normal. No stat boost or special effect, just makes it look "pretty".

On that basis I'd say paying that much for the Automatron DLC which does a hell of a lot more is worth the price.

I'm just posting cause we're past 300 and I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Oh, and I think the DLC is worth the $10. :D

I'm talking about the game Brotherhood of Steel, not the faction. Though I don't blame you for not knowing it exists.

Considering that Fallout 4 has evidence that suggests that Ghouls need to eat/drink as well as Pete Hines confused reaction to angry fans (before he belittled the concerned lore fans that is), it seems more like it was an oversight, not a retcon. It isn't the only lore oversight in Fallout 4. The whole pre-war jet fiasco was also confirmed to be an oversight.

Also, having a canon ending isn't really a retcon. It just means that the other options didn't happen in the continuity of the series.

Much like Anchorage you got to start out early in the game with truly impressive for the game T-51 winterized armor and some decent weapons including the Chinese stealth armor.

I loved this DLC and didn't really encounter any bugs that people complained about. No issues to speak of. The story was pretty cool and I am going to have a lot of fun building robots at my settlements.

Right now I have Ada all geared up in a pink assaultron body heh.

But I have to wonder on a few things. Why did the Mechanist send out the robots and not bother to check on the progress? A bit of an oversight I guess. Either way I spared the Mechanist.

But now I have a factory full of robo brains. And I can build robots. I am the director of the Institute... So why can't I put Ada into a synth body like Curie? I'm sure she wouldn't mind. I know I wouldn't mind. :D

Because Curie was never a human to begin with. A synth brain doesn't quite work the same as a human brain based on what the doctor that put Curie in the Synth body told us. Ada may not be human, but she uses a human brain which makes her a far different and more complicated case than Curie.

EDIT: Oops, I thought you meant Jezebel. Sorry, I misread.

Codsworth shoots missiles, kills 10 gunners. Then the missiles explode.

Yeah sorry I completly misunderstood.

No idea why I can't imagine that someone would mention that this XBOX/PS2 game :) , but I think it's better I still try to not to think about this specific game.

I haven't finished yet, but I love it! I got totally sidetracked building a robot construction shed in my main town--Starlight, and then turning Red Rocket into a robot settlement for all my robot provisioners. Who, by the way, you can name! So now I can see who is going where! (I think, I finished that bit at 2am and haven't tested it yet.)

It's totally worth $10, and as part of the season pass, which I bought as part of a deal that cost me $85 for the game, pass, and vault boy socks back in like July--it's like free to me now.

Can't wait for the next one!

Holy [censored] the mods must be on a vacation or something. 300+ post in one thread? Whoa.

Oh, yea, the DLC looks cool but I'm not gonna buy it. Gonna wait until Far harbor is released.

I would like to see the Rust Devils become a faction and I would like to see a Tinker/ teacher Faction for those who like robots, in future DLC, expansions or mods.

I might start a thread on having the ability to to start settlements have people work with bots planting and tending crops, scrapping structures and building them, so they learn to make and use tools, produce, food scrap and tools to trade beyond the settlement.

I'd like to be able to build, tutor and research bots like Curie, go out nd find tech and medical information for the bots to teach. 3Rs for children during day evening and night classes for advlts and apprentices.

Feels more rewarding than simply being sheriff Minute Man (though the option to fight Rust Devils trying to steal your bots and raiders and mutants being themselves should be and option) .

Fallout 4 is a wonderful canvas for a world of adventure, let's brainstorm some new colors and textures.

The fact lvl 200 robots take more than one hit to kill makes me happy. Been a while.

Maybe because these forums are moving next week. This was directed to Personablaze. Having trouble with "quote". There are a couple of really long threads in PC Hardware and Software issues that have been allowed to go on for quite a while now. 40 pages and over a thousand replies. But these are bug report depositories. See no reason for this thread to go on except for P.R.
