Curie & Automatron question {Spoiler}

If you modify Curie's Robot chassis, can you still advance her companion quest and move her to her Synth body later? I haven't started the DLC yet but the save file I'm planning on doing it with has just gained Curie as a companion.

i think you just have to have codsworth as your current companion...worked for me.

It would be neat to see her as a white assaultron. I'm sure you can get her to do more damage at least (and take more damage). But that won't last of course if you finish her quests.



I don't see any reason why you couldn't still do her quests. Would be really odd if you couldn't. Course her being a giant sentry bot might pose a problem in that tiny lab.

Yeah, there might be some collision issues if you did something like that before her quest...


Also, FYI, after I modded codsworth, he was no longer able to equip his bowler hat, even if you revert back to his factory body... It disappears after you go to the workbench, but in the inventory it still shows as "equipped" without the option to unequip. And once you take it from his inventory and put it back, it no longer has the option to equip it.... :(

Yeah, hopefully they take a look at a possible fix... I miss that goofy hat on him... but he does have a new coat of paint... so I guess that's something...

I modded mine to have a backpack on the head and back, as well as a coat of blue paint and cryo hose arms. +50 Dapperness added lol.

I really wish we could equip hats on certain robot heads. My Mr. Minute-Mech needs a Minutemen hat.

I'd really like to be able to "reanimate" Curie's pre-quest body and have both versions operating at once. Since she is at the most basic level a program and memories, there's no reason both versions can't be active at once. You can give him a bowler hat and he'll equip it? How the hell did I never know this?




You don't need him as active companion, just have him assigned to the settlement you've got the Robotics Workbench in; I have him still in Sanctuary and he was available to modify from the bench with Ada as active companion.
