Are there any mods that let you take possession of horses? You can find them in the wild, such as when bandits have attacked a peddler. You can also occasionally shoot a hunter off of his mount . It seems that there should be a way to claim the horse legally. Anyone know of any mods for this?

I think it does something like this, but it won't work for temporary horses, like the one with the peddler. It should work with the one formerly owned by two dead hunters (near Winterhold) and the one outside of Whiterun.

You can also just use the set ownership console command, but that wouldn't make a temporary horse permanent either.

I also have several different re-textures that I use depending on the RP.. but if you download both files with Horses of Skyrim ( only use one at a time of course ) you can mix and match different textures.
