Can Bathesda make one? Bathesda famous for their 'radiant' ai, i think they could make a good sims game.

They'd certainly be good at doing the bugs and story-line. :hehe:

I must admit I found Sims 4 a bit bleh. I liked 2 and 3, but just couldn't get into 4 at all. Then again, I mainly played 3 with some fairly major mods, so maybe I should take another look.

Can they make one? sure any developer can make any game with the proper knowledge. Do I think they should? Nope I love them for the elder scrolls and to a lesser extant (but not as much) fallout.

Bathesda, that famous, squeaky clean company.

They did Fallout 4. It's more The Sims 4 than Fallout so here you go.

True, I did get a certain feeling of that when trying to manage 30 settlements. Even without constant attacks, they're still a pain in the bum and it's a bit sad that I have neither the resources nor the creativity to really make something of them.

I was creative with Sanctuary, and the first few after that. But then it just got overwhelming, and I ended up just neglecting the newer settlements in favor of building up the one's I'd already put a lot of effort into.

I think Fallout Shelter is as close as you're going to get to a Bethesda sim.

The only thing fun about the sims was torturing my creations.

OT: Bethesda could make their own sims game. Hell, the next TES could become just that if a good sims game takes off in popularity. :P

Going to Sims 4 after 3 felt like the world was too closed off. My best character was a hobo that just went to random houses in town and loot their garbage and make a general mess of the place. Two was good fun with Mega Neighborhoods that came out later.

Yeah, that was my impression. I enjoyed just being able to roam around... blimey, how come I've forgotten what it's called? Not Stilwater, er... [spends much time rummaging: that was harder than it looked] Sunset Valley. I liked the neighbourhood, the general vibe of the town, I liked just having this vast space I could variously roam around and also nose around with the help of Nraas or Awesomemod or whichever one had the "select a household" feature.

And then suddenly Sims 4 happens, and I try to go a couple of houses down and all of a sudden I'm in a different game world. And for no good reason as it seems to have fewer features. The thing that I probably liked least about Sims 2 was back. Maybe I should check out this Mega Neighbourhoods thing, I'd really like to have the same vibe as I did in Stilwater Broken Valley Sunset Valley instead of feeling really confined and restricted.

3 and 4 felt rather closed off and restricted to me, I enjoyed making my own neighborhoods too much in 2! Plus some challenges, like the Build a City one are impossible to do in 3 and 4 as well. They both have good things, 3's traits and 4's character creation but those pros don't outweigh the cons for me!

The thing about Mega Neighborhoods is the towns are all together and Sims from different towns can have relationships but they're like districts and will have to take time to load. If you're familiar with Awesomemod then you know where to start your search for the quality made ones.

I totally get that. Planning out my towns in 2 was great (almost neurotic) fun for me. Building houses (let alone whole towns) in 3 and 4 can be a pain in the ass sometimes. What is it with sequels taking something that was done well in previous games and totally screw the pooch with it?

Beats me! You were limited to predetermined lots of predetermined sizes in 3 and 4 it's a huge reason why I just can't have fun with them! Not to mention being able to build as many downtowns, universities, business districts (Which you can easily turn into other things) Well, it's easy to say that I can spend so many hours building and planning an entire city!

I agree. It's gotten a lot better since they patched in all the missing content though. The sims 4 seemed to have been focused on interactions rather than creativity and personalization. That's evened out now.. You should give it another shot!
