What are your top 10 favorite on screen representations of your favorite super heroes? This list is so hard, so I can't put mine in any definitive order.
Sir Patrick Stewarts Professor X - I think I speak for all when I say Professor X from the old Xmen movies was really really good. He played him spot on.
Ryan Reynolds Deadpool - Reynolds got shafted by a really bad script for Green Lantern, but his portrayal of the Merc with the Mouth was spot on IMO. Such a great film.
Chris Hemsworths Thor - Need I say more? The God of Lightning is portrayed almost to a T in terms of character and suit by Hemsworth. Spot on I say.
Andrew Garfields Spiderman - I know I'm in the minority here, but I really loved those two movies. The second one was meh, but Garfields portrayal of Peter Parker was really good and vibed with me.
Hallie Berrys Storm - She brought new life to a staple character, something that's hard to pull off. I liked her a lot.
Robert Downing Jr.s Iron Man - I think this is my #1, as Tony Stark is identical to his comic counterpart in the Marvel cinematic universe. They even make Tony Stark look like Robert in the cartoons now.
Chris Evans Captain America - I don't think I could picture Captain America played by anyone else. He just is Captain America.
Hugh Jackmans Wolverine - Despite him retiring the role after his next film, Hugh Jackman is and always will be Wolverine. Hands down.
Henry Cavills Superman - I think I like Henry Cavill as Superman better than Christopher Reeves. I know, shoot me now.
Christian Bales Batman - I think overall, Christian Bale played the most spot on role for Batman as Batman is portrayed in the comics.
Notable mentions:
Heath Ledgers Joker - Although Ledger played an amazing Joker, it was more his own version of the joker, and thus not really a great portrayal of the Joker from the comics. Although, there are a few one shot runs where the Joker is portrayed like that.
Ben Afflecks Batman - The batman we see Affleck play is actually very true to a specific run of comics called The Dark Knight Returns, by Frank Miller. Almost the entire movie is taken directly from that series, and Snyder even mentions it as his main inspiration for the film in an interview.
Jim Carries Riddler - I thought Jim Carrie did a great job of portraying the Riddle in Batman Forever. I know people hate on it, but It made me laugh.
