Simple way to extract/archive only what is used

Post » Wed Jul 07, 2010 9:08 am

Ok, so I've found a modder willing to help out with my Ravenwood Island project. The problem is that my modding folder is huge. (~8GB!) Most of that is junk, resources, mini-WIP's, or just unused models that aren't actually linked in the mod. However, there is a lot that is.

Is there a tool that can extract only what is linked, and deposit it somewhere else? I can do it by hand, but holy crap - it could take weeks just to extricate everything.

Thanks!

Wow, thanks. That is a freaking awesome tool. The scary part is, I started it shortly after you posted - and it's still running! :shocking:

I may have to put my mod on a diet.

As well as TESFiles there's Shanjaq's http://www.brianhinckle.com/Overunity.html. Both could help you out. Be aware, some have problems with TESFiles not identifying all files and some have had problems with Overunity.

I've been fine with both...
