I recently adopted two children. The little girl from Whiterun and the boy from Dawnstar.


I crafted a Elven dagger for the girl with no issue, but when i made a Nordic dagger for the boy he cant take it and says it weighs to much. At 3.5lbs Im sure he can handle it so he must be near over encumbered by something . is there no way on console to fix this? I cant trade with him like a follower.

Is it Alesan? There is a bug with him where sometimes he cannot take gifts, but it's supposed to be fixed with the Unofficial patch. If you're on a gaming console, there's no way to fix it that I've ever found. Sorry! (I used to be on a 360, and had the same problem)

Sofie has the same problem too. If you're on the PC you'll probably have to open their inventory to empty all their items out as the patch only stops the problem from getting any worse, if the game has been running for some time before you installed it they're likely to be overencumbered already.

Yeah, Sophie has like, 500+ baskets in her inventory!

Do you mean console as in Console Commands or console gaming systems?
