Okay so, I'm going to state it directly.
I cannot get anywhere near High Hrothgar any longer. It is ticking me off.

I cannot fast travel to it, or I get an infinite loading screen. I cannot coc to the courtyard, where I need to get to progress in the main storyline. I can coc to the interior, and talk to the Greybeards. I can walk manually all the way up the mountain, but the game immediately freezes upon reaching the main stairs near High Hrothgar's front door.

I tuned down my settings to medium, which stopped the CTD's from occuring as soon as I reach High Hrothgar.

I have a feeling it has something to do with the raging winds that require Clear Skies to remove.

However, it is still irritating as hell, as I cannot get to the shout to learn it without the game completely freezing. I can hear music in the background; however, the game, once more, freezes entirely and does not allow me to move whatsoever, even after a long time waiting.

Any ideas as to help me fix this aggravating nonsense?

Are you using mods?

Have you done a game cache verify?

I am using quite a bit of mods. I have not actually tried the cache verification.



Skyrim runs greatly on my PC and rarely has issues with just pure, vanilla Skyrim. Although I've done practically everything in vanilla Skyrim over on the Ps3 version, so I have the intent to keep my mods. Keep in mind, I suppose this is just trial and error learning. I'm not an expert when it comes to modding; however, I do know the basics. In the case that my game is corrupt once again, I suppose I will just have to restart from the beginning again and again, until the mods start to cooperate. I will post a list of my mods here so that you might be able to help me see if any mods conflict.
