Enchantable Teleport Rings: Feasible or not?

Hi All,

I have an idea for a mod I'd like to make. I know my way around the Skyrim CK pretty well, but I've never really got to grips with the Morrowind CS. So I thought I'd run this past you all and see if it sounds doable.

A bit of background: I've been playing a lot using the Teleport Control mod. I wanted a mod so I could summon a follower if they got lost, and TC does that nicely. However it also adds a multi-mark capability to Mark and Recall and you can have arbitrary numbers of summonable followers. It makes things a bit too easy for my tastes.

On the other hand, I don't think multiple recall locations is a bad idea, necessarily. I just think I should have to work for it a bit harder. Likewise the follower summoning. So what I'd like to do is be able to craft two items:

Teleport Ring: This is essentially a ring that casts recall, but the marked location is baked into the ring at enchant time. I'm thinking you'd go to the place, cast a new spell - let's call it MetaMark - and then return to the comfort of your prefered enchanting environment and enchant a ring with MetaRecall. The ring will then function as a normal recall, except it will only take you to the location that was MetaMarked at the time of enchanting. In effect you can manufacture teleport travel rings (like the vampire clan amulets) for arbitrary locations, but you need a new ring, soul and enchantment for each individual place. This should let the player have enhanced teleport capabilities without taking them for granted and using Mark and Recall like Skyrim's fast travel system.

Follower Summon Ring: Similar to the teleport ring, this summons a particular follower whose identity is baked into the ring at enchant time. So maybe we have a MetaSummon spell; cast that on the follower, enchant the ring and the ring will summon that follower but only that follower.

The problem is going to be how the enchanted items know where they are supposed to take you, or who it is that they are supposed to summon.

Anyway, that's the idea. Any thoughts on the subject?
