Timescale_SeasonAndLatitudeScaling

Download: http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/44273/?

This mod changes the timescale dynamically to give the illusion of shorter winter days and longer summer days in northern latitudes, etc..

By default the average timescale is set to 8 and maximum timescale is set to 24 that means mid-winter days and mid-summer nights in northern latitudes will be ~1/3 as long in game time as normal (equal day and night times) that occurs at mid-spring and fall. Overall the game time per 24 hours day+night remains constant, independent of the season (month and date) and player latitude.

Timescale average and maximum easily customizable in the console; see the readme for details.

Thank you! If this plays well with NOM (and from what I understand, it should) I think it will be a keeper :foodndrink:

Thanks. It's a really simple script but let me know if you find any issue or room for improvement.

I don't use and am not very familiar with NOM but from glancing at the readme it seems hunger and thirst are checked at 12:00 and 20:00 game hours. With this timescale script running the window of real time between 12:00 and 20:00 game time hours will ebb and flow slightly throughout the game calendar year. If I got the calculation right, under the default settings of average:maximum timescale = 8:24, [edit - mid-winter in northerly latitudes] the real time passed between 12:00 and 20:00 will shrink from 1hr to 2/3hr. I guess that shouldn't be too big an impact on NOM gameplay, maybe even add a tiny element of winter daytime hunger pains. Probably I should add this note to the readme for potential NOM players.
