Massive fps drop out of nowhere?

Started modding Oblivion again and I was about to finally start playing. However, it seems that my FPS has gone down drastically after I stole a horse?




Now even in the character creation screen my FPS doesn't go above 60 as opposed to the old 125 and the game feels very very laggy (mouse lag) and unresponsive. Tried rebuilding bashed patch, rebuilding LOD and unloading a few mods but to no avail. My usual FPS when walking around outside is in the 70-100 range and now it's gone down the [censored]ter. So I post this in hopes that I will get this fixed without having to redo my install which took me the better part of the day. Here's my mod install as seen by Wrye Bash.





I also have some retexture mods installed as OMODs. Wish this forum would allow me to link my mod order for you guys, but I'm not allowed to post URL links for some reason.



EDIT: After further testing, I've noticed that Oblivion completely throttles the SSD on which it's installed. 100% usage pretty much across the board.

You can export your modlist as text from Wrye Bash. Right-Click on the column header and choose "List Mods".

LOL turning the music slider down to 0% was the issue. It's all good now.

Have you inadvertently enabled V-sync? This tends to cause mouse lag and cap FPS at 60.
