Got my new vid card, diving back in.

It'll take me a bit to get back in the swing (finished my old campaign in King's Bounty during the downtime), but the game was just starting to get interesting so I don't want to restart. I still get framerate drops if I push the game's settings too hard but it's miles ahead of where I was (everything on lowest with no AA and still turning into a slideshow requiring period restarts).

In game, I've rebuilt the thieves guild (though haven't done much in their 'main' questline), explored a solid third of the map, built two hearthfire homes, and am Thane in about half the Holds. I wish the Companions would let you keep doing quests for them instead of forcing you down their twisted path. Damn, they were so close to getting the guilds right.

It's year 4E 203, I'm level 68, and dragons have been raiding Skyrim for the last two years. I think I'm finally ready to see whatever it is those graybeards were shouting at me for...

If nothing else interesting crosses my path first ;)

Grats mouser! I don't think I've ever had a girl anywhere close to 68. I might have had a level 50 or so once....

Having fun - game looks awesome (I had forgotten what foliage looked like). I can even turn the difficulty back up a notch or two now that I can react in real time. Life is good.
