Looking for something odd (hear me out)

Post » Wed May 11, 2016 4:05 pm

This is relevant, trust me. For the last couple of weeks, my family and I have been doing a lot of work on our garden, and there's a space at the top of the land where we're thinking of making a sort of 'secret garden', basically it's a fenced off corner of the garden with a bench, plants, etc. etc. I vaguely remember a couple of small spaces in Skyrim that were fenced with flowers and such in, but I can't remember off the top of my head.

Basically, I'm looking for some nice gardens and similar spaces in Skyrim to use as a reference, and my family are interested in seeing them for inspiration and such. I know it's a pretty strange request but it may be quite helpful for us :)

:thanks:

This sounds like a really neat idea! :goodjob: Anyway, there's a small fenced in garden next to Honeyside in Riften. I think you have to buy the house and pay the steward for the garden before it shows up though. And all the Hearthfire homes have the option to build gardens and greenhouses. I'm sure there are more but that's all I can think of at the moment.

I don't recall any off the top of my head in Skyrim....but there were a few around the Imperial City in Oblivion if you have it knocking around/want to look up pictures with google

Perhaps the Alchemist's Shack might be of interest? http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Alchemist%27s_Shack

In Solitude (vanilla) and Whiterun (ditto) there are various areas of plants, with either low "stone curb" type fencing, or planted next to higher stone walls. Now, for really gorgeous fenced gardens in both places, you'd want to install the JK's city mods for those two cities.

Even http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11158/? has a nice garden... you choose the plant's yourself OR the "builder" with plant them...

Apologies for the late reply, I've been pretty busy

Having spent a full day getting Honeyside and upgrading it, I think that garden is a good starting point, thanks for the tip :D

Another one I've had a look around, definitely a contender.

I think the Archmage's garden is one of my favourite places in Skyrim, if there's anywhere I'd like to replicate the most, it's there!

I have upgraded breezehome as well. I always plant apples red/green alternating around the outer border. When looking from the outside you can't see what's planted inside. With wearable lanterns I drop lanterns lit and at night it can be quite mysterious looking. I'll have to do it up on my current character and post a pic. :D

What a great idea! I'll try not to steal it, lol. Lord knows, Ake has more alchemy ingredients than she can use in years....she's planted some food little by little, but the garden has gotten distinctly disorganized....
