Have some problems, advise pls where to apply!

Post » Wed May 11, 2016 7:12 pm

Dear all,

I play Skyrim as from 2011, and only last time some problems appear.

First. My personage itself very often picks up its weapon, besides, she can hit another personage!! though I even don't touch a mouse at this time...

Second. The items from Steam Workshop have disappeared. I subscribed for another new items, but they do not appear nor in Menu-Files, not in location stated in their description. The Steam support can not solve this problem and advised to apply to Bethesda.

To the word, I have Legendary edition.

Pls help me!

Just to clarify, your fist problem is your character is attacking even when you don't hit the attack keys? If so, the most likely explanation is the attack buttons on your keyboard or mouse are stuck in a downward position due to dirt, dust and the like. I've run into the same problem a couple of times on the PS3 but it's easy to fix. Just pick up a can of pressurized air from Walmart or Home Depot and blow on the affected keys and that should solve the problem.

I can't help with your second problem though. I play on on console so I don't have any experience using Steam for Skyrim. Have you tried contacting Bethesda's help desk like the Steam support team suggested?

Try to backup your saves and re-install the game!

Before that try to exiting steam and log in again. Also verify the integrity of the game cache files...

However, it could be a temporary connection problem with Steam (or the Steam Workshop service going down), so the launcher thinks you have no mods because it can't check it with Steam!

Or Steam could be doing 'maintenance'. That's usually on a Tuesday, but in this part of the world it's a Bank Holiday weekend....

Frost Moglin, I installed Skyrim on a NEW notebook, so it is clean, and the buttons dont' stuck.

Thanks, I'll try to connect the Bethesda's help desk like the Steam support team.

Maybe there is a problem because I have installed Skyrim on a new notebook?

Mark5917, you advise to re-install the game, but as I wrote, this is was done few months ago (I have got a new notebook), and after this the problems occurred..

Disable your mods. Try a game cache verify.

Jasper1979, I'm not using mods....or maybe you mean Downguard and Dragonborn? Except them I have no addidional content.

Mark5917, I had verified cache accordingly, have found only one corrupted file concerning video setting, have fixed it, but nothing changed.

I'm not so much worry about Steam Workshop items, but the problem with picking up weapons by my personage even when I do not touch keyboard and mouse, really tired me, I am to re-load previous save oftenly to avoid negative position of the guardians and etc....
