Do U "get" Expanded Snow Systems?

The mod author confuses the hell out of me.

So I am supposed to use:
ExpandedSnowSystems-CoT 3_17
ESS 3_17 Patch for CoT DG Patch v3.17b

What about
ESS 3_17 Patch for CoT Sound DG Patch
Does 3.17b patch eliminate the need for this or is it needed as well?
