I'm posting this here in case some of what I'm about to say might be considered a spoiler.

I recently went home to Whiterun, after not being there for a long while, and thought I'd check in on Scooby and the gang. I roll up to Jorrvaskr and find some troubling things. Skjor, in his birthday suit, walking around like nothing ever happened, and Eorlund mysteriously dead. I didn't even know he was dead, just thought he was taking the day off or something until I went into the hall of the dead and saw his urn. I mean, what could've happened here? He was still alive after Dawnguard was completed and the vampire attacks had stopped. I have no body present to resurrect, and I tried player.placeatme to replace Eorlund, but he just hung out in his house and wouldn't go back to work. I thought about loading an older save, but I can't pinpoint when this would've occurred. Eorlund was one my favorites. After Kodlak, and becoming the new Harbinger, I made Eorlund an honorary Companion. Gave him his own set of Wolf Armor. I mean, with out him we'd have never gotten Wuuthrad reforged, and never been able to send Kodlak's spirit to Sovngarde.

Skjor on the other hand, well... I just let him have his second chance at life, even though he calls me 'whelp' and tells me I still have to prove myself to him. I'll be honest, I did it mostly for Aela. Knowing her love for him was one of the main reasons I would never marry her. Her face is the other reason. The birthday suit thing bothered me so I had to redress him. I probably shouldn't have pinched his armor when he died, but you know, I was poor then.

But Eorlund.... I'm just.... inconsolable....
