Ebony Warrior: An Easy Opponent

Post » Tue Jun 07, 2016 10:41 pm

So after a very long time, I've finally reached level 80, only so that I could face the Ebony Warrior. I'm playing on my Xbox on legendary mode. I wore fully upgraded Daedric armor (all heavy armor perks) and used a fully upgraded enhanced Dwarven crossbow (all archery perks). 450 points for my health and 502 for stamina. I also made it so I was 100% resistant to magicka using the alteration tree and Atronach stone; this way I knew I was good with the magic attacks and only way he can get to me was his bow and sword.

When we started the fight, I expected him to 2 hit kill me. I kept shooting him with my crossbow and he kept getting staggering, making it impossible for him to reach me. I really wanted to see how easily he could defeat me though so I stopped for a second and let him have a swing at me. It took him a couple power shots to get my health moderately low, which was a surprise. I expected to have an inch of my life after one power swing.

Anyways, I killed him within less than a minute and was sorta disappointed. From what I saw on YouTube, it took people quite some time to defeat him and I just expected more of a battle.

For those who encountered and fought the Ebony Warrior, how did that go?

Well when you make yourself completely OP naturally, try going at him without 100% magicka resistance and with a melee weapon, my biggest problem was he tended to retreat towards the cliff and fall down, but either way he's tough because he has a sword that drains life and seems to have healing pots, so his tough armor makes him even tougher to beat since he heals himself while damaging you, i enchanted my sword with drain life so i negated his drain life, he went down quite easily after that.

Im guessing when u say 100% resistant to magicka you mean 100% spell absorbtion, which brings me to the conclusion you are using necromage? Or possibly using a racial? 85% magicka resistance I'm pretty sure is the cap. At any rate if you want a harder fight Karstagg generally presents one. I find Harkkon on legendary an absolute pain as he heals and spawns a ton of creeps.

Mine was not difficult either. But then I didn't expect much since I too spent time making my character tough and powerful. I find it.... interesting... that expected otherwise. I sense....

What's so difficult is if you use melee weapons because he has the melee reflection heavy armour perk. Most people get killed by their own attacks, and not the ebony warrior's attacks.
