RP'ing a Telvanni and Foryn Gilnith

Post » Sun Jun 19, 2016 10:57 pm

How does someone feel a Telvanni would handle the Foryn Gilnith/Murder of Processus Vitellius quest? Telvanni really don't care about justice on the one hand, so they wouldn't kill him and avenge the tax collector's death on that basis (plus they're nativist). However, a 500 bounty to a fledgling, right-off-the-boat Telvanni seems like a great prize...

What do you think? Kill him and take the money? or let a fellow nativist Dunmer live? Sadly, theirs no way to lie about killing him to take the money.

I'm not sure Telvanni are nativists so much as that they think that everyone else, including most other Dunmer, are bleeding heart idiots. Unlike most Great Houses, they didn't fight to keep the Empire out, they just tell them to do one when it tries to impose its laws or ways upon them.

The answer is what ever he wants and can get away with. Although I don't recall the 500 gold reward being advertised, in which case it may seem a better idea to keep the gold and move on at the time.

Telvanni perspective: "Nothing personal, but I'm here to collect on the reward for your death...unless you can make me a better offer."

My telvanni characters kill him and take the money. No they aren't imperial scum sympathizers like he claims, but they really need the money as they were just released from prison with the clothes on their back and killing a peasant for 500 bucks is a great deal).

Also it's 700 gold if you don't talk to the census guy until after you kill the murderer, as he doesn't take the 200 from the body away from you and only gives you the 500 (but he takes the 200 away if you report the murder before solving it).

Also it's tradition for my less than moral characters to go give the tax guys exquisite ring to the chick in the light house for the two healing potions, then immediately kill her and take the ring back (I keep it for sentimental value plus it's great for enchanting later in game).

The 500 gold gets advertised by the census guy if you report the murder to him before the murder is solved. However he takes the 200 gold away from you.

Though I bet he doesn't take it if you drop all your gold first then talk to him.

No, he does not take the 200 gold unless the player say he/she found 200 gold on his body provided you have boosted http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Socucius_Ergalla disposition first I think.
