Well, now i don't feel so dirty for buying Mortgage anymore
> so those fixes won't make it to console unless Beth incorporates them into the new game. <
That was my point! I doubt it will happen, but well...Beth may surprise us.
What's the flora respawn bug? I can honestly say I've never noticed anything odd.
Huh. I don't think I ever paid close enough attention to notice it. I usually just grab what I see and it may be a really long time before I'm back in that area. Thanks for the heads up, though!
I've been saying that everyone should pay, Just not that much. I suggested $9.99-$14.99 for the PC version and $19.99-$29.99 for the home consoles. I don't see why the PC version should be free.
The hardware is different YES, but the network isn't. That's my point. If people bought all the DLC that equals to the full price of what the remaster is going to be THAN give the PS4/Xbox One users a freaking discount because all the information is there. XBL and PSN are the same network for both new consoles. It's not different.
All this does is pander to the PC community and screw over the home console community for no reason.
Obviously, because Console owners have much more to gain from Mod support and better visuals and that's the main selling point.
On the other hand, as PC players have that luxury already - there is little reason to upgrade!
From this standpoint, not a bad idea actually...
As for the price - well, the game will cost almost the same as a new release, but considering the performance issues with the last gen consoles - it may justify the price.
I'm not familiar with the ins and outs of consoles (never owned one), but don't they require some sort of licence fee before a game can be released? If so, that might account for why Bethesda had to charge for the console versions and didn't need to charge for the PC version.
Is that not the case with almost every game release (new or not)?
To me there is just as good a reason to pay for an upgrade for Skyrim just for the 64 bit engine. I would even pay for full price of 79.99 CAD since I know I will get my moneys worth. I usually do not play with that many mods and quite often without any. I prefer the Vanilla Skyrim HD DLC to any of the texture mods out there since as far as I know none of them are complete and they make game look like texture mess with some assets being high quality and then others not so and it just takes me out of playing the game. Besides with that trailer I think the graphics looks awesome.
To me the selling point is better performance due to the upgrade of the engine. Mods are secondary especially on the Console since at the moment the mod community for the Consoles on Bethesda.net is really toxic with a lot of stolen mods that takes ages to be removed. Death threats from the thieves if the Mod is tried to be taken down. Some mod makers are looking at ways to add DRM to their mods so if it gets stolen so they will cause issues on the consoles.

We are in the same boat, but there are people out there with more ambitious plans for Skyrim, it seems...
Does anyone know if they're going to alter (or change) the appearance of the characters? Cause I would like to see a better looking version of pretty much every character in the game. Including the Dragonborn.
If you own Skyrim and its DLC on Steam, then you get the remastered version for free.
But no deal for consoles.
True to some point at least. Not sure if there's a fee to be paid to release something but from every single game sold a significant portion of the price goes straight to the console manufacturer as sort of a license fee. On PC there's no such thing.
I'm perfectly happy to pay for the game and dlcs for pc. It's not a big deal. I've had MORE fun than the total cost for buying it twice. What I REALLY want is for Beth to quit forcing steam on me.
I'd gladly do the same if Steam wasn't forced on me too.
the issue with the remastered is NOT if its going to be better or the price ...................its if its going to be the foundation for the new number six .................witch has been rumored to be the LAST of the Elder Scrolls Franchise,
Yes the PC version will be in 64bits witch is a step in the right direction and that the graphics on all platforms will be ENB quality & will have dynamic depth of field (yes I am making all this stuff up) ........and also will still be MOD friendly.
the question is how much of this is just another marketing ploy to sell more copies?
...........at the end of the day I can MOD the game to hell with graphics, immersion & overhaul mods.............BUT it never will change the fact I am still playing the same game (unless the quest structure is changed, like new quests & other stuff)
my concern is number six ..................and why its going to take so long to develop technology for the new number six http://au.ign.com/articles/2016/06/13/e3-2016-bethesda-is-working-on-the-elder-scrolls-6
but why rush ................The Elder Scrolls 5 - Skyrim is very healthy ..............the best game of all time ....... 5 years later its going strong even without a remasters version ............, if Skyrim was fading and becoming just a distant memory killed off by other games it would be a totally different story .........but as it is now, one of the biggest fan based games will JUST have to wait! (20.000.000 copies sold)
PS ...............how many will have to upgrade to a PS4 or a Xbox One just to play this new upgraded version? ......so if you have a PS3 or a Xbox 360 the game will cost you a good $450-500 just to play the SAME game on a PS4 or Xbox One
if a Moder asked you to pay $400 for a better looking Skyrim you would say he was a scammer and trying to rip you off .............what? pay $400 for a MOD to change the way the game looks? yea right......But I wonder how many would pay PS & Xbox the same money to get the same result?
so Mr Xbox 360 & PS3 ppl...............we are so sorry to say .............but your stuffed!
I think you misunderstand. TES VI will be the last of this batch of three games to be released....not the last Elder Scrolls game.
