Deleted Vanilla Cells

Post » Sun Jun 19, 2016 10:21 pm

I have mistakingly deleted two cells in the vanilla game and they got added to my mod. One cell is aaaMarkers and the other is aaaDeleteWhenDoneTestJeremy. These cells are interior and don't seem to have much in them. They don't appear in the game. They are there if I don't load my mod, but are marked as deleted but still showing in cell view with my mod loaded.

Is there a way to undelete these?

TESVEdit--I think it's down right now (it was the other day when I checked) but you can just download the FO4 version from TesNexus, and rename it.

Load up your Mod in that, find the Cells, and then click on them. Hit 'Delete', and it'll ask for confirmation--say yes, and it'll remove them. Save, and you're done. Just remember, it will load your Mod and Skyrim.esm, so only delete them in your actual .esp :)

That will work for basically any accidental deleting/moving/editing you don't want to keep :)

Ah, it is up : http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25859/?

I have tes5edit. But I don't want to delete it....I'm not really understanding why it is deleted? I thought vanilla cells couldn't be deleted unless you make active?

Deleting entries in your mod using TES edit deletes those changes, not the object itself.

Load up TES5edit, look for the modified cells - they'll be highlighted in yellow or red. Delete the entire cell entry from the mod, and save.

Well, I did delete the cells from my mod as instructed and they appear normal again with my mod opened. Learning more about the wonders of tes5edit every day.

Thanks!
