I can no longer use the carriages or boat services : V

After travelling to Solstheim I wanted to return but all the guy at the docks would do is take my gold and a load screen would appear and I'd still be in Solstheim...when I finally got back to Windhelm I found that I can't use the carriage services anymore...I tell him where I want to go to and my character gets on the carriage alright...but she just sits there...I can press enter to get off...I try over and over with the same issue.

I've deactivated all mods and tried on a different character.....this problem is still there...It's not a mod or load order problem.

why are you still using the boat to go back? Just use fast travel by clicking the arrow.

ALso.....

To deactivate mods completely, you need to uncheck them all as well as go into the data folder and rename the scripts, meshes, textures, interface, and sound folders.

You also want to disable any SKSE mods as well.

if the problem is a mod, simply deactivating them may not fix it.. even if you deactivate a mod its scripts are still baked into that characters save files permanently..

so, the big question is, do you have this issue with a fresh character running no mods?

sounds like something baked into your save file is causing it then.. this can happen due to various things, but the most common cause I have seen would be installing a mod then going "you know, i don't like this" and deleting it but continuing that save file.. what mod I would have no clue, but likely something that affects those travel options in some form

a work around could be fast travel i suppose.. pay them, and when it doesn't teleport you to the destination just FT there instead..

Are you over-encumbered? Are you using a carry weight mod in there? Use the console for god mode?

No, no mods for that and god mode doesn't make any difference...I still can't run or fast travel...and yeah I'm over encumbered

You know that once you're over-encumbered, enter tgm in console, before you can run again you need to hold the Alt key while you start moving?

You know you cant fast travel in a carriage or otherwise while you're overencumbered. I dont even think god mode will allow you to fast travel.

Are you using Loot to sort mods?

I meant using carriages. On my copy, I cannot use carriages when Im over encumbered with or without god mode. Didnt test boats but iIl bet the same thing happens. I have to drop stuff first and then tell the driver where to go again to get it to work. I can manually fast travel using the map with god mode.

Ah. I only use the boats and carriages once each - to each place you have to go to get a fast travel marker: Solstheim, and each of the stables and towns without stables. I do that first thing on a new toon....
