The reason behind remastering Skyrim

Post » Mon Jun 20, 2016 10:08 pm

I've previously read that Howard wanted to expirement with overhauling Skyrim's graphics last year and that console players shouldn't get their hopes up. However, with all this commotion behind the game again, what could be their motives?

Most of us heard that the next real Elder Scrolls game, so not ESO, will be released after 2 new big projects from Bethesda will come out. Did they want to give some more attention back to Skyrim as if they have more content planned for us to keep ourselves entertained till the new ES releases? Or did they do it so console players can have their way with mods?

Even though I really am enthusiastic about new DLC coming out, the chances are small as they would have problems with their previously released "Elder Scrolls: Legendary Edition".

Your thoughts about the subject?

Is more DLC possible or is it too far fetched

It's easy money, the game is pretty much done already and porting it over to PS4 and XB1 is relatively easy. And there are a whole lot of people who played it on PS3 and 360 who wants to play it again on their current console with all it means, higher resolution, higher framerate, higher textures and so on.

I think it's too far fetched.

To tie it too down with UNoPlay 2 - The Revenge. Ane when Murder Hobo Adventures 6: More murder, less hobo (working title) comes along they can say "Look! Mods on consoles!" :hehe:

Money, what do you think? Haha. Good chance of new sales on new hardware in their estimation.

Easy answer. Money. Lots of people like me still want to play it even though it's on a past system.

Don't forget that Microsoft just announced recently that they're no longer producing the Xbox 360.
