Hi,

After I finished the quest for the Thieves Guild, Takinf Care of Business, Brjynolf tells me to follow him, but the new quest, Loud and Clear, does not initiate. When I follow him into the Cistern, he's behind a wooden cart and doesn't move, only saying "Mmmh?" when I attempt to talk to him. After a couple of seconds, he, along with everyone else in the Cistern, initiates combat with me. If I attempt to travel further into the Cistern, the Thieves will say, "You're not supposed to be here.", and eventually fight me.

I have used console commands to get my Thieves Guild armour, and be able to do the small side heists/robberies/heists, etc, but I am not able to further progress into the story line.

As far as I am concerned, there are no mods altering the Theives Guild, and I have destroyed the Dark Brotherhood.

PC or Console game? If console, you may have to load a game further back than you've tried.

If on PC, then this may help: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Taking_Care_of_Business is the link to the UESP wiki. It has the stages of the "Taking care of Business" quest listed out. If that last step (200) did not trigger, then you can't go on. I think the console command for setting quest stages is "setstage .
