Skyrim Pre-Order (Non-Legendary Edition) Owners For SSE

Post » Wed Jun 29, 2016 9:58 pm

Hey guys! :)

So I just submitted a ticket with support to clarify a few things for the upcoming SSE. I've been a HUGE fan of Bethesda titles ever since Arena, and I have about 90% of all Bethesda titles (that interest me), but I've also been burned as a fan several times, so this may just be the straw that broke the camel's back for me...

Here's exactly what I sent to support, so if we can discuss from there, specifically those of you who are in the same position as me; that'd be great.

Considering I can't really do anything as Steam won't let me buy/upgrade to Legendary, and more-so that I actually pre-ordered Skyrim along with all DLCs should be more than enough to put me above Legendary owners, no?

tl:dr: Have Skyrim + all DLCs pre-ordered. Can't get Legendary edition needed for Skyrim Special Edition upgrade (for free). Will I still get SSE?

If you own the PC version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn on PC on Steam you get the PC version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition on PC on Steam for free without having to purchase The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition.

The same goes for the PC gamers who purchased the PC version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition on PC on Steam, they also get the PC version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition for free as well.

This was written on Bethesda Softworks Bethesda.net article.

Thank you, mind linking me to it as I can't seem to find that part? I could only find the mention of if one owns the Legendary edition. :(

To add more confusion to it, usually when you get an upgrade it is added as a DLC item, but when I check it isn't there, and there is no mention of me owning the Legendary edition... :/

Whether buying separately or as Legendary Edition, as long as you own all (base game + all DLCs), you will get the Special Edition for free.

It will show as a separate game.
