The vicissitudes of...inns

Post » Thu Jul 07, 2016 8:32 pm

After almost two weeks of tinkering with the CS and binding the who's who of all realism/difficulty mods out there into a series of personal plugins, I'm finally ready to begin my trek in Morrowind once again - its economy rebalanced, its weather brutal, its lists unleveled, its daedric items as rare as Sotha Sil's tours of Resdaynia.

One last tiny detail stands in the way of the journey, namely, the price of rooms. Basically, I find the price for rooms to be somewhat too small (would be great if inns had prices depending on location/ambiance - Eight Plates vs. South Wall for example, but I digress). The question is: how does one edit the price of rooms in the CS? I had a look in my version of NOM, but couldn't find anything of the sort.

I would have to check to be sure, but I think it's all dialogue-based. Take a look at the "Beds" topic and you should be able to filter things by location/person and change the price accordingly.

Although the renting itself is done through a script, it is initiated through dialog.

You can change the prices in the dialog Function/Variables, and in the Result window.

(The specific dialog for the specific NPC who is renting the bed.)
