hundreds of expensive potions to sell -help-

Post » Thu Jul 07, 2016 4:10 pm

Hello everyone, it's my first post here.... and sorry if it's a really big one [really i just want to explain everything right in case someone can help me]

first of, I play on Console [PS3]

and the issue is. i wanted to level up my character, and i Did. i'm on level 75 already with just a couple weeks of gameplay actually, I used two methods, the Illusion spell and after a while, the potions one.

So, as a result of the ''gather ingredients for months -in game- and make potions like crazy'' with a boost of +80% alchemy apparels and lots of alchemy perks [got it legendary 5 times haha], i was able to level up pretty quickly but ended up with .....Hundreds of potions worth +1700 septims each to sell......i don't wanna just throw them away, or something, they worth a lot all together and well i spent a lot of time making them to just forget about them haha.

which leads me to my question [talking too much sorry (.>﹏< '.)]

Is there a way.... -the Fastest way possible- to sell all of these potions, i'm already doing what i Think is the fastest way on console, that is: selling them all on the Ragged Flagon after all the 4 merchant stalls are already there, and with the Master Trader perk, so in the end after selling for the 5 of them [Tonilia also included with 5000 septims] i end up with +- 12.000 septims...... wait 2 days for the money to refresh-skipping time-, and start over..... and over and over again.

the whole process takes around 6, or 7 min to complete between talk to all of the merchants around the Flagon, sell the potions -i can only sell Two at time for each of them because they only have around 2000 septims and i'm actually giving them around 1000 gold discount haha-, and wait the money to refresh, etc, etc.

Since the glitch of the 10k riverwood trader doesn't work anymore-since it would be faster to sell only to One person and not walking around-, is there by any chance another way to sell these potions faster than how i'm already doing?

---

To be honest i've already saved up +800.000 gold so [300.000 alone just with the potions].....but it's really getting boring, so if there isn't any other way, i'll just keep the remaining +500 potions or so as my retirement plan hahaha keep some with me so between a quest and another i can sell to merchants around Skyrim.

But i'd really like to know if there is really another way to sell all the expensive stuff in the game.

Thanks in advance for anyone brave enough to read all of this [love u already haha] and if a reply is also possible thanks again!

ヾ(^?^) byebye and i hope everyone enjoy this game as much as i do -even if i got a little late about discovering it hahaha >u< -

You might find it faster if you:

Sell potions until vendor runs out of gold.

Save.

Hit vendor until vendor becomes aggressive or is killed.

Load save.

This will reset the vendor's inventory and gold so you can sell more potions.

Thank you for the reply >u<

i was doing this with the companion's blacksmith because he has 3500 gold+-with the Master Trader perk, but now that i need 'tons' of money gathered in one place or merchant to be quick, i don't think i can kill the merchants in the ragged flagon haha they would eat me alive before i could even scream for help, if the riverwood trader still had that 10k money it would be a wonderful idea to just sell, kill him xD and take all his money again and again it would spare a lot of time. [why is it so slooow to 'fast forward' time =n= irony of life hahahaha]

Is there another merchant [aside from the Fences which hold 5000 septims] that has lots of money?

or any glitch with the Speech perk that still works?

You can keep selling them to level speech, even if you don't make any money off it.

If you dont have access to fences and have the DLC Dragonborn available, your best bet is Raven Rock. Their is a General Trader with 1500 gold and an Alchemist with 1000 outside. Just keep killing them and reloading.

'-' that's actually something i didn't think about, hahaha *oh my greedy self was only thinking about the money* i can make it Legendary since i'm 100 speech already and level up a lot indeed. if i'm not mistaken it's the amount and price of things you sell that increase the speech right? i think i can level up past the 81 just with the potions >u< !! thanks a bunch [i'm still laughing at myself for not thinking about level up with that Absurd amount of potions hahaah]

What's the point? There's nothing to spend all this money on.

Hahahaha to be honest i'm still gathering flowers and mushrooms around skyrim when i enter in a dungeon, cave and such, then i just stop for a moment and think..... "i couldn't even sell all the potions i already have and i'm gathering ingredients for MORE? what's the matter with me??" then 5 min later i'm picking up stuff again hahahahha

this thing is addicting

and about the money, well..... true enough there isn't thaaat much stuff to spend money with in the game but xD my personal goal is to get 999999 gold hahahahaha idk why. and that way i can also buy pretty and silly stuff, like all the houses around skyrim and have an open box [those long wood boxes] full of shiny colorful gems in each of them xD

i want to buy vlindrel hall and decorate it only with dwemer stuff, build the last homestead, things like this hahaha

but indeed no one needs that much money even if i buy 'everything' in the game, xD so i guess i'll just keep leveling up my speech i bet i can make it legendary a couple more times before i run out of potions hahaah

Up to a certain level you can sell potions and buy all of the vendor ingredients. And by the time that doesn't work you shouldn't really need to buy in bulk anyway.

It really is! I've played non-alchemist characters and for the first levels, have to STOP myself from picking every plant and butterfly

Like eolonin said, I was going to suggest buying everything the merchant has. Also, in the Speechcraft tree (perks) there is a perk that allows you to sell anything to any merchant. That opens all kinds of possibilities :)

He could always use the money for training skills again once he makes them legendary. :P
