The sourceforge no longer has Nifskope it sends you to GitHub. GitHub is totally incomprehensible. I just want a link for a zip file containing an installer. I did follow one link on a forum for Nifskope 2.0 and got a zip file with a lot of files in it including an nifskope exe, but no installer. Can someone send me a workable link or better yet put it in Skyrim Nexus?

I don't know if there ever was an installer. Just unzip that into a folder somewhere. Double-click a .nif file, and Windows will prompt you to find the application to open it. Navigate to NifSkope, and it check off the "always use this application" option.

I don't ever use a shortcut to NifSkope on the desktop or menu. I only ever launch it, by opening a file.

No need for an installer. Double-click the .exe and off you go. Make a copy on your desktop if you like for a shortcut or open .nifs as ghastley says above.
