I usually have equipped

- robe of the archmage

- custom made circlet, +80 magicka, +80 magicka regen

- custom made ring, +80 magicka, +80 magicka regen

- custom made necklace, +80 magicka, +32destruction

- custom made gloves, +80 magicka, +32 alchemy

- custom made boots, +60 shock/fire resistance

Do you play a mage with something different? :)

That sounds like a very nice setup for a pure mage!

Mine is a mystic archer so her customized conjured bow is her primary equipment. She does wear a pretty moonstone/silver circlet that boosts magicka by 50. Her ring conjures an adorable little fox familiar when equipped. She wears Gauldur's Amulet out of respect for his memory - and she likes the look of it. She generally wears either a Triss (mod) outfit, buckskins (mod) or variants of college robes with light bracers and light boots - none of it is enchanted as she changes outfits way too often to be bothered.

I primarily play a stealth character that uses a bit of everything to augment stealth

I think you should be able to get slightly higher stats, but then again I'm unsure because I use the USLEEP patch which refines enchanting stats a bit

IIRC with a fortify alchemy kit, you should be able to achieve fortify alchemy 34% (with your actual enchant and alchemy skills at 100). With that you should be able to achieve fortify ~84 magicka and regen. I can't remember if this is with the help of certain gear from the Dragonborn DLC or not + the one mage perk from one of those Black Books in the same DLC
