I have tried almost everything. Clean reinstall, loot organized, cleaning mods, updating mods, even trying the bloody enboost and I still CTD within Riften!

Here's the catch: It CTD's off a specific time within the in game time clock. Last time it would cTD around 10 p.m. or pass it, and now it CTD's around 11 p.m. or pass it. Every time I've entered Riften, this happens. Whenever I'm not in Riften, this DOES NOT HAPPEN!

I do not recall if you have tried with no mods and with a new character to see if you can enter Riften. If you can then add one mod at a time and then test to see if you can enter Riften.

I see two errors you have in your loadorder.

These esp's needs to be loaded after the last loaded esm and not in the middle or late in your current loadorder.

If that doesn't help then I think you have no other alternative then to scrap everything and start over in a new game. You also need to use the bashed patch in http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1840.

The game is already too mess up beyond repair I think, and even if you get it to work there will be a lots of hiccup and oddities in-game.

OMG So many kinky Mods Maybe Mara is punishing you . well she does have a temple in riften and you are going against divine's teachings.

Ahha indeed a 'kinky' mod list The devious devices mod range are known to be buggy as is 3DNPC (which fyi caused me a fair few CTD's when I was using it). Maybe worth trying without. Unfortunately process of elimination may be your only way of tracking the problem down. Also are you using a HDT body? if you are then make sure your HDT and XPMSE skeleton are up to date as Riften has always been a problem area for HDT. (Visit the Bee and Barb with HDT bodys enabled and you'll see what I mean)

Thank you for all your response. I just returned from work and check and see what you guys said, along with gamefaqs.

Apparently, the heavy mods are an issue from what one person stated in gamefaqs, that it maybe possible it's killing my game. I'm considering on ripping out a few, though I want to save requiem and apparently, requiem is a heavy mod. I downloaded wrye bash, though was told before it isnt needed. But I'll try again

Wrye Bash might not be needed but it helps out a lot when you have a lot of mods due to the Bashed Patch.

You don't want to use a bashed patch with Requiem. The Reqtifactor does the same function as a bashed patch, making a bashed patch redundant with Requiem. Also, a bashed is unwanted with Requiem because it will reintroduce leveled content, thus destroying Requiem's unleveled world.


So while the posters recommending a bashed patch are correct about a bashed patch's general usefulness, it is not useful to use a bashed patch with Requiem and in fact it's harmful.


I cannot give you advice on your general CTD issues since I am unfamiliar with most of the mods you are using other than Requiem. Good luck.

High res is left unchecked due to me not using high res dlc. But I've taken a good chunk of mods, and now wonder if this may solve the CTD issue at Riften.

That loadorder looks fine by me, but you still have another problem that is probably more difficult to solve. In fact you might be forced to scrap everything and what I'm talking about is http://afkmods.iguanadons.net/index.php?/topic/3676-skyrim-information-baked-into-saves/.

According to Arthmoor, and I trust his judgement, there is only one Save Game Cleaner tool out there that is safe to use and that's http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363.

I started to use that gamesave cleaner tool in my previous game, which are now deleted due to a too much messed up game beyond repair. Now, I am in process to install those mods I wanted to use in my next game.

EDIT: If I were you I would probably stay away from ENB this time around and focus on to fix the CTD issue in Riften.

Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch needs to go right after Dragonborn.
