Why is there no mod for quest items?

I remember there was a mod to remove quest items but it was removed from the nexus. I find it difficult to believe nobody has created a mod for this absurd decision Bethesda made.

I have the one from the Nexus that got removed. It covers the main game but not DLC items as far as I can remember. PM me your email if you wan't it.

Why would such a mod be removed? By author?

You could always use the console command "removeitem " although that might mess up your quest.

Authors remove their mods for lots of reasons. Only the author knows why he or she removed this mod.

My Storage Helpers mod will let you stash quest items in certain safe containers. That way you can get them out of your inventory but not actually lose them.

You can google for that mod, Cass - it's still available on another site IIRC but I don't remember what it is now. It's only good for vanilla as DaveMB said, the author at one time was going to add the DLCs but never did so.

Thanks. I just downloaded your mod

Well that makes it useless then...since I was wanting it specifically for dropping the elder scroll added by Dawnguard

Yeah, probably cdcooley's mod will work better for you. I just use houses with storage set up for things like that - like Elysium Estate, or Revak Rift, or Cliffside Cottage. The mod authors enable the removal inside the mods.
