So A Dragon Didn't Attack

Post » Sat Aug 06, 2016 3:15 pm

OK I was traveling from Morthal to Dead Man's Respite (pirates anyone?) and when I was crossing a bridge, a silver dragon with what looked like blood on its wings landed. I saw no red dot (minus mudcrabs) so thinking I ran into a rare encounter with a friendly dragon I walked up to it, face into its mouth close, and nothing happened.

No option to talk, it didn't attack, it just took flight and disappeared. Has this happened to anyone else? Idk if its a glitch or if I'm suppose to follow, but I was right up to this dragon and it did nothing but stare at me.

I see non-hostile dragons many times, but usually they just fly around for a bit, before flying away. Never seen a landed one though.

No, haven't seen that happen yet. All of my dragon encounters (those that land) have resulted in battles.

I've heard of this happening, but I've never seen it outside of a mod, pretty cool

You'll often get a dragon involved in a fight with someone else, such as a giant, or the guards at the Western Watchtower, and if you don't take a side, they'll ignore you. Sometimes the dragon gets killed, and you can loot it. Pulling out a weapon may be enough to "get involved" however, so be careful.

I've had this case in Labyrinthian once. The dragon killed the frost trolls there, chilled for a while (with me, right next to him) then took off.
