Does anybody have a HunterFisherGatherer build?

Post » Sun Aug 07, 2016 6:53 am

I just finished my first PC build and im waiting for the OS to activate my Skyrim disc.

One of the first builds that im going to do is as stated, im going to live exclusevely off the land.

I'm still going to do quests but im going to get all food, clothes, and money by mining, hunting/trapping, gathering, and fishing.

So ill be like one of those holier than thou hippies that went too far but ill still adventure while giving all proceeds to charity and those shrines out in the wild.

Has anybody tried this? any tips?

Thanks

If you're ok woth mods get some. Frostfall and Realistic Needs and Diseases at the very least will greatly help you with this. Even if you don't want the survival aspects of the mods, it's still cool to be able to make your own camps wherever you want to, bottle up water, etc.

When ever I get back into Skyrim variation on scouts and hunters who live like this is basically the only way I play.

mods. Campfire, Frostfall, Hunterborn, Complete Crafting Overhaul to start with.

Alchemy for potions from natural ingredients like plants and fungi.

Sneak for stalking game.

Archery for hunting.

Light armor for leather and fur armor along with smithing for making it and other useful items.

You'll need some skill with a blade if for nothing else than butchering game.

Possibly illusion if you want to speak with and calm animals.
