Hi all,
I'm currently playing a Nord hunter/ranger build and making extensive use of campfires, tents, hunting etc. Basically, the character spends most of her time in the wilderness and visits the Hunter's Guild Outpost in Whiterun.
One of the mods which, I think, adds to this type of character is called http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49723/? Believe me, the mod author is not exaggerating, they really are hidden. So, if you're lucky enough to stumble across a hideout, it's important to leave a map marker. This is where the http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/61543/?mod comes to the rescue. It lets you craft a sack, drop it, and then activate it like storage. The best part is that the sacs are tracked in your quest journal. When you activate the quest, map markers show the location of the sacks you've dropped. I've only just started practicing this strategy so I don't know what happens over the long term but I'm hoping everything is stable (like the sacks don't get kicked around by animals).
Hope this helps your location-marking needs!
