Well it would be fun if they threw in a lone Cliff Racer that has been terrorising a local village at night like some kinda Chupacabra myth.

Actually nords hate cliff racers more than dragons, because cliff racers dive to kill the people but dragon eat the in flight.
The problem is that one cliff racers ain t enought for a dragon so after that he eats the whole village.

I'd like the return of flying monsters including cliff racers, but it is not a big deal either way. Heck I'd love flying monsters with ranged attacks so you either had to have range yourself, levitate to them or run.

Why did people hate cliff racers so much anyway. They were not that hard to beat, if you had ranged attacks you could do good damage before they were upon you. What is with all the hate?

They get stuck in the air/trees and are everywhere at higher levels.

I've never played Morrowind but judging from what the Devs said originally about Cliff Racers, how there were too many of them in Morrowind I'm gonna vote no. Even though they won't annoy me it will get old killing something that flies down at you.

Ah, didn't bother me. So a crap loot monster was hard to loot when it was in a tree. As for being everywhere, I need something to shoot, stab, fireball in order to improve my skills so no problem there either.

The problem is that they don't fly down. They get stuck, yet can still follow you horizontally if not in trees.

They got stuck out of my reach, so I couldn't stab them.

I do not think I ever played a character that wasn't reasonably proficient with ranged attacks of some kind, so I guess it just never came up for me. If they were stuck in a tree I got better with bows or whatever.

I'm slightly concerned about this sentence in the Game Informer piece (bottom of page 57):

"And you'll have to fight them repeatedly in single combat" (talking about dragons).

Sounds pretty similar to the annoyance of having to deal with Cliff Racers :-/

Why would cliff racers, a creature that inhabits a vocanic region, be in Skyrim?
