How Can I Make The Game More Difficult?

Post » Tue Sep 06, 2016 9:38 am

Hi All

I've been playing the game for a while. I have level 53 char and I think since approximately level 20-25 the game is quite easy. I am playing at legendary difficulty level, I never use shouts (except when it is necessary as part of a quest), never use paralyzing weapons or spell...etc). I just fight in traditional way and use conjuration but these are not enough. I want to learn if there is a way to make the game more difficult. I want stronger, more durable, badass enemies. Also, advised solutions shouldn't effect the game stability.

Thanks

Frostfall and Realistic Needs and Diseases to make the land itself more dangerous.

Simple Taxes to soak up some of your cash.

Deadly Dragons, Immersive Creatures, High Level Enemies for harder enemies and more variety.

I haven't tried the mods that change the combat to make it more dangerous and the AI smarter but check out some of those.

Do you play on PC or console? Are you asking for mod recommendations? If you are asking us to recommend mods then this should probably be moved to the mods forum.

I play on PC. Mods or changing game's internal adjustments (skyrim.ini file or...etc) I want to make the game more difficult....

Then what crossi said. At least deadly dragons and deadly monsters will let you configure in what way will your enemies be stronger.

Frostfall, Needs and Diseases, and similar mods will fundamentally change the gameplay, but I recommend it. It makes you plan your routes in order to prevent starvation and hypothermia from killing you, making simple travels a game of survival. Like I said, it's a different game with these, but I recommend it if you want something new. I had all of these together, along with SkyRe, Live Another Life, and several other mods, and I played like that for a very long time without even touching the content from vanilla game.
