Need Roleplay Help!

Post » Tue Sep 06, 2016 2:11 pm

Aiight, So, I wanna roleplay a wood elf thief rogue / archer and I just had a couple of questions

Is there anyway I can join a side in the war, Without pledging allegiance? I remember someone saying that if you join a side, (Imperials for example) Then progress in their story line until you get the jagged crown, But then you take the crown to the other side (stormcloaks) You would not have to pledge allegiance and you would of gone against the first allegiance you made, Does anyone know if this would work?

(Dawnguard Spoilers...Kinda?)

What would you guys think about a thief becoming a vampire? I mean, They will get more stealth bonuses but also the curse / blessing will force them to have to feed unless they want to go insane and get attacked on sight, Would you say that a thief would do that?

And my last question

Besides Nocturnal, Is there any divne, deadra or aedra that a thief would worship? I was thinking about Zenithar but I would love your guys input on this!

Thanks for reading! And of course, Talos Guide You!

Once you complete 'the jagged crown' your allegiance is set - http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Civil_War (There may be mods that allow you to switch sides later or not pledge allegiance)

Have you been a vamp before? They definitely have some benefits for rogues if you don't mind the downsides. I prefer werewolf but only because I like my character in his non-transformed state 99% of the time and, for the werewolf, it's all bonus (immunity to disease) and no negative. To each their own though.

For the divines you could to anything from stendarr (robin hood archetype), to zenithar (gold, gold!, gold!!!), to arkay (woodsman - master of the seasons).

Might I also suggest my dark ranger armor mod (in sig). It's just a visual mod that gives you the look of the thieves guild armor with the abilities of the dark brotherhood armor pieces. The set is in the dark brotherhood sanctuary.

It's been ages since I've done it that way but switching sides during the Jagged Crown quest might let your character dodge the oath of loyalty. As I recall, whichever side you give the Crown to is more suspicious of you than they normally would be and they essentially treat the Battle of Whiterun as a test of your loyalty. I'm not sure if they still demand the oath after the battle is over though.

Regarding the vampire question, you don't need to worry about being attacked at stage four if have the Dawnguard DLC installed. That feature only affects vanilla vampires. I don't think the drawbacks of the vanilla vampires are worth the positives but since Dawnguard removes the stage four problem, blood potions that count as feeding and a way to negate the sun weaknesses I'd say it's well worth considering for just about any character type, especially a thief/stealth build.

I'm no lore expert but Mephala might be a good choice for a thief to worship since her sphere of influence includes lies, secrets and seduction.

Lol no...not for a thief :

He could do the Robin Hood thing but I doubt that Stendar would want a thief to worship him he is also called the God of Justice .

The nine divines aren't fans of dishonorable individuals and the Daedra don't care but as a Bosmer you could worship http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Baan_Dar

Don't know how much ESO polluted the lore arround him but he seems like the perfect god for your char.

Perhaps Vermina.

Simply because her staff, the skull of corruption, needs the nightmares from the people to get his full potential.

I don′t know for what a thief would need a staff, but with the night-thief-perk and being a vampire, a lifestyle of breaking into houses where people sleep, and then filling your pockets, the staff and perhaps your belly, just matches. :)

Vampires are the creatures of Molag Bal. If you choose in Dawngard for Harkon, the first think to learn is, that he serves Molag Bal. The second thing is the usage of Vampire-Powers...

Some vamps serve Clavicus Vile, like the Cyrodiil vampires do.
