I do not think that would be possible. Bethesda then would have to support those mods.
What I would rather see is that maybe Bethesda makes a commitment to fix bugs and to have patches for the next couple of years or until the next TES game is released. This should be for all the platforms. Maybe even have a patch or two with some added content maybe a few armor pieces or weapons. Maybe a few spells, etc.
I think a good idea would be this: keep the $60 price, but every PS4 Skyrim SE buyer gets TES VI for free, when it comes, on whatever platform the buyer chooses.
I feel the same way. The only reason I use SkyUI is because it is required for MCM-enabled mods. I use the SkyUI-Away mod to get rid of SkyUI and keep MCM.
My own favorite Elder Scrolls UI is Morrowind. Morrowind's one-click, movable, re-sizable windows was pure genius, in my opinion. My least favorite is Oblivion. I hated Oblivion's butt-ugly, unintuitive menu design the moment I laid eyes on it. I still don't like it ten years later.
I'd like to see Morrowind's UI come back lol.
Yeah, I found the UI to be horrible. The favorites system was nothing but a giant mess too, what happened to simple old hotkeys that didn't pause the game every few minutes? At least SkyUI brings back Hotkeys!
HA! HA! HA! Beth has never cared for the Playstation side of their fanbase! Looking at how they treated us before we'll get a knock on our door and a random Beth employee will punch us with an Xbox.
What? Bethesda Game Studios made the best User Interface (UI) ever for a RPG video game and better than any other RPG video games for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.
It's even better than any of The Witcher video games User Interface (UI), which you all know by now I praise and love a lot to play.
All of the The Elder Scrolls video games developed by Bethesda Game Studios after The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind should of had the same exact or similar User Interface (UI).
Morrowind's wasn't bad by any means.. but i'd say calling it the "best" is stretching it a bit as i can think of several i thought were better, but to hey, each their own
Honestly, I don't think there was anything wrong with Bethesda's statement. It was a pretty standard, canned corporate response "Here's what's going down, we apologize, the end." Big corporations rarely go into any more detail than they have to, either out of preference or to avoid violating NDAs. More detail would have been nice but it's not something I expected.
Hate capes as they clips with my tail.
Also its easier to add features for an moder who is very interested in an feature than Bethesda who have to make sure the feature don't conflict with anything and if a few more quests would be better.
Its however interesting how mod features pops up in the next game.
I said it has gotten worse with every game. That implies with progress they've become worse. I also had no issues with Morrowind's (The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind) user interface (UI), though I also don't think it isn't the greatest thing since sliced bread.
But since then, as I said, it has become worse. To the point we now have the dog[censored] UI found in Skyrim and Fallout 4.
I wasn't planning on using mods anyway-won't affect me very much.
I say Skyrim is worst, its even problematic using with mouse unless moded.
No huge issues with FO4 outside of dialoge system.
Morrowind's system was not perfect, yes the resizeable windows was genial but I prefer lists rather than an mesh of icons in an game who uses weight rater than fixed number of items, especially then having lots of items.
I never had issues with using the mouse but then again I use for the most part WASD for menus and dialog in Skyrim since I find it faster and more intuitive than using the mouse.
I think Zaria means moving the mouse cursor or pointer to click through what items you want to select in the PC version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on PC.
The way the User Interface (UI) is designed for the mouse I just don't like at all.
I love a lot more The Elder Scrolls III: Morroinwd's click, drag, and drop User Interface (UI) and the picture of the items in your Player Characters (PC's) inventory.
The dockable and sizeable boxes also are a whole lot better than what we have in both of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
I do like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion's medieval parchment or scroll look of the User Interface (UI), but I love The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind's User Interface (UI) more than any other of the The Elder Scrolls video games.
Yes, the mouse tended to hang on to items, mouse did not behave like an mouse at all made it very easy to select the wrong topic in dialogues.
A moment of silence.. This was not unexpected.. A glance towards those who's words I must now accept.
Decisions I must now make. Shrugging and moving on.
Disappointed. Words should not have been shared until they were sure.
I'd still like to see if Sony has anything to say on the matter. There is two sides to every story.
It is probably security related.
I don't know, but are people ignoring me that I told them that Epic Games had to jump through a lot of hoops to get mods working for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) version of Unreal Tournament III on the PlayStation 3 (PS3)?
Epic Games and Tim Sweeney should know a lot about this as well for sure, to bad he's not speaking much out about this other than saying a bunch of people developing video games in the video game industry started off as modders.
I'm sorta with Ballowers on this one, i think a major factor is likely a security issue, considering the trouble sony had caused by modded PS3s they are likely a little over-worried about the subject..
