Has anyone else seen this TV show? (IMDB http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0348913/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1)
It ran only 2 seasons (2003-2004) but I'd never heard of it before this month. I can't find out if it was "network" or "cable"
show.
Synopsis:
A young girl (Georgia Lass) dies after being hit by a toilet seat after the Mir Space Station blows up re-entering the atmosphere. She then meets Rube Sofer (Mandy Patinkin) who informs her that she is now dead. Apparently, he heads a small gro0up of "soul takers" whose job it is to grab souls when people die. Georgia has trouble adjusting to this new "job" and really struggles with the process of dieing.
It is a really "cute" show that has some good "deep thoughts" feel to it. The characters in the ensemble seem to work well together and I am enjoying it quite a bit.
At the beginning of this month, my local ABC affiliate added 4 new channels, one being the "Laff Network." (Homepage http://www.laff.com/schedule/) It's been fun seeing some of the older shows, though not relics. Night Court, Empty Nest, Drew Carey, and quite a few other comedies.
So, anyone watch(ed) and/or enjoy(ed) "Dead Like Me?"
