Creation Kit dissociating my recorded dialowav and lip files

Post » Wed Sep 28, 2016 9:00 pm

I have just discovered a weird bug in my worldspace mod. I have recorded voice files of over about 30 NPC's for various custom quests. The dialogue and audio was all working fine (to the best of my knowledge until tonight when I checked it.) When you open the response text box for each line of dialogue the audio filename is still there but in the voicetype box below (the one that has "has wav file" and "has lip file) all the flags have changed from Y to N. The creation kit has deleted the association with the audio files but not the audio files themselves. Anyone know whats going on here???

P.S. I haven't changed the esp to an esm or renamed any files or voicetypes. Any help would be appreciated as I really don't fancy having to re record all the audio as a result of this annoying bug and before anyone suggests it I already tried googling my issue and found no search results that match my problem lol.

If the audio files are in .fuz format, those sections will display "N" rather than "Y" but the audio will still play. Try clicking on the audio file path; if the file is present, it will play.

The files are the Creation Kit default files .wav and .lip. Strange the audio does still play fine but the Creation Kit is reporting that there is no wav or lip file present. Never had this bug happen before with previous mods. The only variable is the Creation Kit as I have updated it to the latest version since making my last mod before this one. For every bug they fix with their updates they seem to create several new ones. Really frustrating. I've abandoned the mod for now. Ill go back to it in a cpl of months or so.

And just to test it I rerecorded the audo for one voice actor again and saved the plugin. Its fixed the issue. SO I guess when I do go back to it in a few months I am going to have to rerecord all the audio again to fix the bug completely. What a pain in the ass! Thanks Bethesda!!
