Markarth...

It should be interesting to see what responses I get for this.

Is it just me, or does anyone else get lost easily when in Markarth? I am playing on PS3 while awaiting SSE for PS4, and I have just finished a certain quest that requires you to play detective and has you going to certain points within the city.

I'd say that the quest has taken me approx 2 hours (I like to listen to all dialogue in quests for role play purposes) and probably 1/3 if this was navigating the damn city!

I actually need to use that small alley way outside the Shrine of Talos just to know which side of the city I'm going to. So, am I the only one? Or are there others that share in my plight?

Yes, it's a slightly more complexly-laid-out town than most of Bethesda's other towns in the series. And not just horizontally complex, but vertically also. For once Bethesda designed a town that was not laid out on an almost completely flat, horizontal plane. And this is one of the reasons why it's one of my favorites Elder Scrolls towns. That, and the fact that I adore all things Dwemer. :)

I have played this game 600 hours and every time I visit Markarth I always get lost.

When you walk into the city there are two ways to go but one is only used mainly and that one (The one on the right) gets you lost, always. I recommend going left and then you'll end up near the blacksmith.
