Got a couple hours into it. Realized that the nice graphics are well and good but wear out after a bit. It really is the mods that fine tune the game experience. I forgot how bad the UI is, a shame it still is. Modders made better looking weapons, armor and people. Hi rez ugly is still ugly.

Yes, very pleased with what I have seen so far.

The game runs very smooth, has great draw distance, lighting, fog, river water running at different speeds. I still slightly miss the clean feel of the vanilla game and everything is now very washed out when compared to the past, yet strangely enough I do not actually mind it. Skyrim now has a similar color palette to the Witcher 3 where the green is overly green and the dark rocks are overly dark.

I thought it would annoy me but the more I play it the more I like it.

It seems like all these games are following the direction of each other.

And the mods are great. Thank you to all PC gamers who have uploaded their work.

I bought it on the PS4 and it has blown me away. It's good. The textures are good. Yes some things are still the same. The whole game is the same actually. It's just the effects (shaders, lighting, etc) and everything they did just looks beautiful and honestly from the PS3 to the PS4 it really was a big improvement. I am also going to get it on the Xbox One. I got it for free on the PC but i am ok with the game.

Do you have the aspect ratio bug?

Played it a few mintues ago. No aspect ratio problem. But i will see if there is something going on i'm going to go and play it again.

PS4 player... very happy.


The game looks fantastic, and to me it feels like it runs a lot smoother.


On a side note, being able to play this game with earphones! Gets you right into the atmosphere and the music score has just pulled me right back in.

I was really looking forward to the release. I wasn't impressed with the overall look compared to my modded older version. I do like the fact that it now renders in 64 bit giving it much more headspace for future mods. I do believe that down the road it will be better than its counter part but the lack of tools to do so atm. I'm looking forward to see how much I can get out of this version as far as mods go. Not sure if there are any new quest chains but I have heard that some of the dialog is different.
