What Should My Next Character Build Be?

I have started a playthrough Skyrim every winter (with last year being the only exception due to Fallout 4) and a few other time as well, overall I've had 6 different characters of whom I've sunk in varying amount of hours into. With winter coming (insert GoT reference) and the Skyrim Special Edition now out, I'm definitely looking forward to another run through. Let me run through the characters I've ALREADY played through and then the ones I am considering for my next. Feel free to add your own suggestions; I'm partly doing this to organize my thoughts but I'm honestly interested in new character build ideas and critiques of my own ideas. Also when I do a character build I take into account personality and morality too so I can really get into the role playing aspect of the game.


My previous characters in order:


1. Neutral Good Male Breton Battlemage: Start off with a little archery in sneak mode, blast spells at the enemies as they approach, finish them off with sword and shield or dual wield once they get close to melee, or until magicka recovers. Rinse repeat. Did all major quest lines non-dlc quest lines, many side quests, killed the Brotherhood. Sided Imperial.

2. Neutral Evil Female Nord Assassin: Assassin's Creed retexture of the archmage robe? Check. Sneak fortified over 100? Check. Daggers? Check. Switching to heavier armor one they do see me because cloth offers no armor protection? Double check. Main story line and Joined the Dark Brotherhood. Sided Stormcloak.

3. True Neutral Female High Elf Fire Mage: Only major quest line I accomplished with her was the Mages Guild quest line. Mostly used either fire spells, or a Spellsword combo of Dawnbreaker and fireball.

4. Lawful Good Male Thor: Literally, got a mod that added Mjolnir and Thor's armor looking very similar to the Marvel universe version of the Norse God. Lightning spells of course. Slitting people's throats with a hammer was a little immersion breaking but otherwise felt awesome using Storm Call. Mostly the did the Companions questline, but also the main quest.

5. Neutral Good Male Redguard Battlemage: Upgraded version of my Breton, since mods allowed me to switch armor sets with a button press I could switch between two sets of heavy armor, one enchanted for magic and another for melee. Sided Imperial. Sided with the Dawnguard. Killed Brotherhood.

6. Lawful Good Female Imperial Paladin: No destruction spells at all, a rare thing for me. Sword and shield with emphasis on restorations spells. Healing, buffing, anti-dead spells. Sided Imperial, and basically only did the Skyrim Civil War, but with the mod that attempts to restore the originally planned version of the quest line, where it functions as an actual war wherein your enemy made randomly attack a strong hold, and you get to pick which stronghold to attack next. You can also lose the war. Unfortunately once it started getting interesting the mod and questline crashed so I only played to about level 22.


Here are my ideas so far for the next character, one I hope to actually play Dragonborn with for the first time:


1. Chaotic Good Female Wood Elf Ranger\Druid: I've always incorporated archery in some capacity in all of my builds. Sneak bow attacks are too easy to capitalize on to ignore, especially on non-magicka based builds. However I haven't ever done archery as a *focus*, as my main source of dealing damage. Of course I'd have to be willing to switch to daggers if I got attacked up close, especially early on, but throw in some nature based summons and other magic like illusion and restoration and it could be a lot of fun. It would also be nice to really experience the higher level bow perks, I've never used a bow with the full fast draw perks enabled.

2. Chaotic Evil Male Dunmer Vampire Necromancer: I'll be honest, I prefer playing good characters to evil. Most of the time I don't feel like being evil, but it is still worthwhile (if anything for the sweet vampire powers in Dawnguard). I've used conjuration plenty to summon atronachs, Dremora, and lots of other types of creatures, but never used any necromancy abilities consistently. No raise dead or summon thrall. As I said, the vampire abilities would be awesome, and if I side Imperials I could make Ulfred a permanent thrall.


3. Retry my Paladin build from #6: The Paladin playthrough was the most brutal one I've done, for a couple of reasons. First the combat enhanced mod I installed made well timed blocks essential. I limited myself to Imperial armor and didn't use any destruction, illusion, alteration, conjuration, sneaking, or pickpocketing skills or perks. I also used Frostfall, almost dying in the cold forcing me to use a flame spell for the only time in the whole playthrough. That said, it was one of the more satisfying playthroughs due to that added difficulty. I wasn't rolling over enemies easily (like I usually do past level 10, even on legendary) and they required skill to defeat. I would really like to try the Civil War mod again, I think it was my fault it crashed before.

4. Chaotic Neutral Male Imperial Mage: An old wizard. ALL the magic. Daggers or some magical blade like dawnbreaker if I have to, but I want to use every magic tree. Destruction yes, but also the other ones I rarely use. Illusion especially, but alteration is another I rarely use.


I may play a Khajitt punching\thief or rouge build at some point but not this time around I don't think. I have no interest in playing an argonian and probably never will #racist.


So those are my ideas? Any you'd care to add?
